Some Late Jurassic – Mid-Cretaceous sections on the East Midlands Shelf, England, as demonstrated on a field meeting, 18-20 May 1979
Eight key sections in South Humberside, Lincolnshire and Norfolk are described to illustrate aspects of the stratigraphy, facies and faunal relationships of the late Jurassic to mid-Cretaceous deposits of the East Midlands Shelf. In the appendix the occurrences of erratic boulders of Spilsby Sandstone in central and eastern England are described and discussed in relation to the movements of the Chalky Boulder Clay.
